Drafted a defense memorandum against a governmental authority that filed a lawsuit to suspend the execution of a property sale valued at KWD 4 million between a debtor subject to Law No. 41 of 1993 regarding the State’s purchase of certain debts and one of his second-degree relatives. Both the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal dismissed the case.

Provided legal consultation to a portfolio manager regarding the permissibility for a local bank to seize components of an investment portfolio due to the portfolio owner’s failure to repay a debt of KWD 128 million to a local bank.

Drafted a lawsuit petition to compel the former chairman of a closed joint-stock company to return KWD 120,000 to the company’s account. The court held the former chairman liable and awarded the claimant KWD 5,001 as interim compensation.

Drafted a lawsuit petition to annul a governmental authority’s decision demanding KWD 500,000 from the heirs of a deceased debtor under Law No. 41 of 1993 and the Kuwaiti Commercial Law. The court referred the case to the Bankruptcy Chamber.

Drafted a lawsuit petition to challenge a precautionary seizure order valued at KWD 7 million against a former chairman and board member of a publicly listed company. Both the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal annulled the precautionary seizure.

Drafted a lawsuit petition for the removal of a manager of a limited liability company with a capital of KWD 4 million.

Drafted a defense memorandum before the Court of Appeal to uphold the Court of First Instance’s ruling holding the board members of a joint-stock company liable and obligating them to compensate the plaintiff shareholder KWD 800,000. The Court of Appeal affirmed the lower court’s judgment.

Reviewed and amended a credit limit agreement valued at KWD 45 million from a local bank in Kuwait for a publicly listed joint-stock company on the Kuwait Stock Exchange.

Drafted defense memoranda before the Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal for a joint-stock company in cases filed against it concerning the annulment of a stock purchase and securities portfolio management agreement executed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
